Nokia Smartwatch Capable of Monitoring Heart Rate, Receive Calls & Texts

After the acquisition of a popular French consumer electronics company WITHINGS by Finnish multinational communications and information technology company NOKIA, its seems like the once smartphone giant is taking a dive into the smartwatch and fitness wearable sector. Nokia made the acquisition of Withings, at a cost of $191 million in cash. Founded in 2008 by Éric Carreel and Cédric Hutchings, Withings deals on products such as WiFi Body Scale, Smart Baby Monitor, Blood Pressure Monitor and a lot of other health related products before it was buy over by Nokia.

Nokia Steel HR

After the acquisition, Withings under the parent company Nokia has launched a series of amazing gadgets such as smartwatch, weighing scale, blood pressure monitor and a sleep tracker. The most interesting of all this products, is the Smartwatch. The Nokia branded smartwatches comes in two type this include a mid-range Nokia Steel and a high-end Nokia Steel HR.

Nokia Steel smartwatch comes with sleep and activity tracking features and also has the ability to sync with a custom phone app and weighing scale which has also launched by the tech giant. On the other hand, Nokia Steel HR comes with more amazing features such as a heart rate monitor, ability to receive text, calls and event alerts. The watch has a battery life of up to 25 days when fully charged. According to information gathered, the Nokia Steel goes for a price of $134, while the Nokia Steel HR is priced at $191.
