Google Officially Launches Uptime App for Watching YouTube Videos With Friends

Tech giant Google launched a new iOS app they called Uptime in the month of march this year. The app which allows users to watch YouTube videos in real time with their friends, was allow accessible through an invite codes only. The big news now, is that Google has made Uptime availability to everyone on the iOS App Store.

The app not only lets you watch videos simultaneously with other Uptime friends, it also allow you to see your friends live reactions attached to a video they have watch and play them back as you watch the video for the first time.

Uptime users can:

Search for YouTube videos to share with the community.
Watch videos that have already been shared with the community.
See which videos other users are watching in real-time, as well as which videos they have previously viewed.
Follow other users within the app.
Share comments, like videos and share emoji reactions

Uptime has social networking features like friend lists, watch histories, and video sharing in feeds. One thing to know is that, the app was created through Google's internal incubator program, Area 120, which encourages employees to take 20 percent of their week to focus on independent side projects
