Meet HandEnergy, A Device That Charge Your Phone By Generating Energy From Human Body

Share:
A 19-year-old inventor by the name Michael Vaga from Minsk, Belarus, has developed a phone charger that taps energy from the human body to charge a cell phone. The device works by simply he rotating your hand to activate HandEnergy’s gyroscope which produces energy that is stored or used to charge a mobile phone.

The device converts the mechanical energy placed into the gyroscope to electrical current needed to charge your phone’s battery.
According to the 19 year old Michael,
“With each rotation of your hand, the rotor speed increases significantly and generates more power. The average speed of the rotor is 5,000rpm”.
He says the HandEnergy, which took him a year to develop, is ideal for phone owners who are often away from a power source. To fully charge a battery, it would take HandEnergy between 40 and 60 minutes. However, the speed of charging slows down by 30 percent if the device is used while being charged.

Michael Vaga says HandEnergy would be available in the market beginning March 2017 and would retail for €99. According to the kick starter, the device is being offered as part of a one-day special deal at an early bird rate of €69, or a savings of €30 from the regular retail price.
