Google Launches YouTube Go to tackle slower network connections.

YouTube has launched a new app known as the YouTube Go. Announced by Google recently in Dehli, the new app (Youtube Go) is designed to tackle slower network connections experience by areas where internet services are poor. The new version of YouTube (Youtube Go) will be made available first in India, before rolling out globally.

YouTube Go enables users to watch videos on slow internet connection, save videos for offline viewing, and also ability to share videos among friends without data changes. 

According to Johanna Wright, Vice President of Product Management, YouTube, YouTube Go is faster, lighter, which was built from ground up for the Indian market. He said they spent a lot of time in Indian rural areas to understand the challenges people face in accessing the internet

He said;
"YouTube Go was designed and built from the ground up with insights from India, in order to bring the power of video to mobile users in a way that is more conscious of their data and connectivity, while still being locally relevant and social."
